1. Get medical attention immediately.

6. Do not post about the incident on social media.

7. Keep every record.
Medical bills, pharmacy receipts, repair estimates, correspondence from insurance companies, notes from your employer about missed work. Save all of it.

The word ‘damages’ in personal injury law means the money you’re entitled to because someone else’s negligence hurt you. California recognizes three types.
Economic damages are your verifiable financial losses.
